Does SynergyXR have Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS/IPS) in place?

Explaining how SynergyXR detects and prevents intrusion across its cloud-native infrastructure.

Yes, we have IDS/IPS coverage appropriate to our architecture, implemented across multiple layers of our cloud-native environment.

Application edge: Azure Front Door WAF provides Layer 7 inspection with custom rule enforcement covering IP filtering, geo-filtering, and rate limiting.

Application layer: Microsoft Defender for App Service provides dedicated application-level threat and intrusion detection on all environments hosting web applications, including continuous runtime monitoring for anomaly detection and vulnerability assessment.

Data layer: Microsoft Defender for Cosmos DB provides dedicated database-level threat and intrusion detection, including continuous monitoring for anomalous or dangerous database access patterns and potential SQL injection attempts.

Secrets and key management: Microsoft Defender for Key Vault provides dedicated threat and intrusion detection on all key vault activity.

Cloud resource management: Microsoft Defender for Resource Manager provides dedicated threat and intrusion detection across all Azure resource management activity.

Detection and response: Defender for Cloud monitors the cloud infrastructure holistically, while Microsoft Sentinel and XDR correlate security signals across the entire environment and trigger incident response.

Because our workloads are cloud-native PaaS rather than traditional Virtual Machine network segments, a classic network-sensor IDS/IPS isn't architecturally applicable — the equivalent controls are delivered through the layered approach described above.
